Grow a Garden 2 Stealing Guide

Grow a Garden 2 Stealing Guide

In Grow a Garden 2, stealing is a major gameplay mechanic. It allows players to take fruit from other players' gardens. Every night, players are faced with two choices: steal from others or protect their own crops. To steal, players can visit another player's garden. As long as the garden owner is not inside the garden, players can steal almost any type of crop. However, stealing crops such as Bamboo and Mushrooms takes longer than stealing regular fruit.

If players want to protect their own crops, they can stay inside their garden. This locks the garden and prevents other players from stealing from it. This guide will teach you how stealing works in GAG 2, as well as how to stop other players from stealing your plants.

How Does Stealing Work?

How Does Stealing Work?

Stealing can only be done at night. Once night falls, look around the map for gardens whose owners are not inside. If you see an unlocked icon floating above a garden instead of the player's avatar, it means the garden is empty. This means the garden is open and can be looted.

Walk into the empty garden, move close to the crop or fruit you want, and press E to pick it up. It is that simple. After you take what you want, your only goal is to return to your own garden before someone stops you.

Tips

Once you pick up another player's crop, your garden teleport button will be disabled. You cannot fast travel back to your base while carrying a stolen item, so you will have to walk back instead.

How to Defend Your Garden?

How to Defend Your Garden?

The easiest and most effective method is to stay in your garden at night. As long as you are standing inside the garden fence, other players cannot steal your crops. They will receive a message telling them that crops cannot be taken while the owner is in the garden, which prevents them from stealing from you. You can decrease the chances of this happening by buying the Gnome, using a bear trap, having a Venus Fly Trap, or using a flashbang to stun someone stealing from you.

1. Gnome

The Gnome is a defensive item that protects your garden from other players who are attempting to steal from you at night.

2. Flashbang

The Flashbang is a limited-use item that you can use to defend your garden from other players who are attempting to steal from you.

3. Plant Venus Flytraps

Fully grown Venus Flytraps automatically attack thieves that enter their vicinity. Plant Venus Flytraps near important crops to make sure that they are protected, and reduce the risk of these plants being stolen.

4. Build Defensive Props

Building Fences and other Props can make navigating your garden harder, and deter players from trying to steal from your plots.

Other defensive props like the Bear Trap can be placed in your Garden to damage players, and stop them from stealing your Fruits, but are more expensive compared to other props.
